Burgundy Wine Trail
A Grape Nuts Wine Ed Class
Saturday, November 21, 4pm
Burgundy has a reputation for being confusing, and honestly, it earns it. Two grapes, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, but hundreds of villages, thousands of tiny vineyard plots, and labels that seem written in code. This class cracks the code. We’ll travel the trail from north to south, starting in the steely whites of Chablis, through the legendary slopes of the Côte d’Or, and down to the sunnier, value-packed Mâconnais. Along the way, you’ll learn how Burgundy’s classification works (regional, village, Premier Cru, Grand Cru), why a few feet of hillside can change everything, and what the French mean by terroir. Taste as you go, ask all the questions, and leave able to read a Burgundy label with confidence.
